The development of 4700 Labadie received funding from the Community Development Administration of the City of St Louis, individual, and business donors. It is a mixed-use building that will offer four 2 bedroom, 1 bath energy efficient apartments with appliances, and off-street parking for low to moderate income residents . The lower level, which is accessed from Marcus Avenue, has office space and a multi-purpose room to provide support services for residents, a resource center for the community, meeting space for training and tutoring, and social programs for youth and seniors. The architect is Grice Group Architects and the general contractor is B.C. Construction.

The tornado of May 16, 2025 caused a five month construction delay resulting in increased costs for labor, materials, insurance, and infrastructure.
